Moor Lane is the longest serving water of the club and the swims available are marked by asterisks. 'P1' and 'P2' on the map mark the spots where the two attached photos were taken,

3 x phases of restocking have now taken place with the last in December 2022. On this occasion 5 new carp, all in the 12 Lb range were introduced. Fish are now doing well in Moor Lane and this next season should see some of the older fish getting back into the 30’s.  The last fish of the year 22 caught in Late December came out at just over 27Lbs

 

New aeration equipment was bought for Moor Lane during the year and has been proving its worth whenever oxygen levels started to get low!  Also during last years working parties, a good few of the snags were removed making the fishery generally safer for the fish!

 

The new Otter fence across the Moor is now well established although it has already been attacked once by vandals leading to necessary repairs! it is important that any damage seen by anglers is reported to the bailiffs or the club as soon as possible.

 

Also last year the last ‘Big’ Catfish was finally caught and removed as required by the EA. This fish went safely to a new home.
